While orchestral music might have begun its life as the polite entertainment of the upper class, later composers saw the potential for the symphonic sound to convey feelings of great power and energy. This Music on Sundays concert will feature a collection of the great ‘heroic’ music - pieces that have brought an instant thrill to audiences for decades. Beethoven’s Eroica (Heroic) Symphony - a striking musical portrait of a military hero; Rossini’s instantly recognisable Overture to William Tell; even the theme from the Magnificent Seven!  Join us for as much orchestral excitement as we can pack into a Sunday morning!
